About Me

I am an artist, retired art educator, and founding member of the South Suburban Art Collective (SoSu). Working in many mediums keeps me engaged in the creative process, experimenting and making my own creative discoveries. My work is often characterized by the use of bright colors and whimsical designs. Commons symbols in my work include birds, hearts, and forms inspired by my garden and interest in botany. I studied biology as well as art in college and find that the overlap of these two disciplines inspires my work.
