A bit about me...

As an artist and career educator, my work is a celebration of the creative process and the intricate beauty of the natural world. I find endless inspiration in the quiet rhythms of the garden, the delicate structures of botany, and the whimsical movement of birds.

Working primarily in ceramics and mixed media, I treat each piece as an experiment in discovery. I am drawn to the tactile nature of clay—using techniques like sgraffito, underglaze transfers, and colored slips to layer narrative and texture onto my forms. My aesthetic is defined by bright colors and playful designs that reflect the joy I find in the overlap between biology and art.

For me, making art is about more than the finished object; it is about the "aha" moments found in the studio. As a founding member of the South Suburban Art Collective (SoSu), my mission is to foster community through creativity. Whether I am at the potter's wheel or in the classroom, I strive to inspire others to embrace their own curiosity and find their unique voice through the transformative power of art.
